Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL) is a state-owned petroleum firm in Pakistan, with Urdu translation: پاکستان پیٹرولیم لمیٹڈ. On June 5, 1950, it was incorporated and took over the assets and liabilities of the Burmah Oil Company Ltd., which at the time owned 70% of the shares, with the Pakistani government owning the majority (GoP). The Government of Pakistan owned 70.66% of the shares as of June 2011.
